Re: How Neurocytes, Stereocytes, Senseocytes, Stemocytes work

I've noticed the oscillator is effected by outside signals.

Re: Neurocyte data doesn't transfer.

Yeah, I'm confused by the nerve cells. Sometimes they never "wake up".

Re: Stereocyte not detecting cells

I'm having problems with the nerve cells too. Not sure if it is a bug or if I am understanding them wrong.

The Myo wasn't bending like I wanted. I turned the stereo's output to zero just to check and the Myo just kept bending.

Re: (41) predator

It completed the challenge, but not by much.
The biggest problem was reproduction. Laying zygote "eggs" would never develop.
..So this thing splits in half at the keritin and each half has to regrow the head or tail.

Re: 43: Extermination

Removing the initial cells is the easy part.
Copy.
Change color.
Change sensor settings.

Now leaving the dish clean is the hard part.

Re: Blood. I created blood.

Update:

Just for fun I tried it with a default flagellocyte.
It does servive and reproduce but after about 300 hours I count only fifteen flags out of the total 800-something cell count.

Conclusion: The nutrients left by dying "blood" glueys fed the swimmers more than a trivial amount.

Blood. I created blood.

I created blood. It is a gluey (red, of course) with stay alive turned off and nutrient priority set to zero. To test the theory I put swimmers in a dish with nutes set so they hover around fifty cells. With generous light I made a photocyte that "bleeds" (splits into itself and my red glueys). Well...

(40) scarce conditions 3

OK. I started with my organism from scarce 2. I first made them "pregnant", meaning the eggs they lay are carried on the head untill they split. Also I primed splitting masses so they were more likely to become the four cell adult than the two-three celled swimmers that relie on luck to hit nutrient...
