Re: Randomized Swimmer Color and Pseudo Races

Been messing around with virocytes, and i already see few people using this function so i did aswell, viro wars: https://www.dropbox.com/s/z08rq98g06qnu1u/viro%20war.substrate?dl=0 http://fs5.directupload.net/images/180623/bbco9swf.jpg Blue and yellow swimmer produce an egg that will split into swim...

Re: Microscopic Factories

I got a huge roadblock right now :( . I have came up with a neurocyte module that i can attach anywhere that can translate up to 4 signals, but the main problem is the "cables" itself. After testing, it turns out that signals will still linger inside a neurocyte even after the input is gone. Lets sa...

Re: Battleship

Darn it, that looks so cool!. I was expecting somewhat the same design as Tarux made but it was more complex as it need to find food aswell. Good job!

Re: Nutrient Sharing Between Cells

But is it intended though? Also the skin tissue Alast develop in Nanobot challenge seems pretty stable and symmetrical, i wonder how he made it that way :geek:. But from the genome, seems pretty much the same way as we do (mode after mode, making a long chain, then join them to make an array). So i ...

Re: Virocyte - missing "copy to"

I was going to comment about how complicated copy to function but realized i dont even know how it works  . The "new" copy from function is alot easier to understand, and with optical twizzers and delete cell make a really incredible tool to basicly bioengineer your cells one by one (thanks alo...

Re: Nutrient Sharing Between Cells

Okay i have replicated the "more complex" one, same 4x16 array of photocytes, but with more criss-crossing photocytes. Keep in mind that they are all identical default photocytes, i only changed their child modes and some their split angle to 90° https://www.dropbox.com/s/sxu3umwosvpqtet/photocyte%2...

Nutrient Sharing Between Cells

When testing with a couple of my experiments involving with photocyte arrays, i found something pretty weird that i havent found before (older versions). https://www.dropbox.com/s/7ivtn59kseii1rq/photocyte%20array.substrate?dl=0 The sun-lit substrate contains 6 identical photocyte that will split in...

Re: Ciliocyte

This idea actually has been discussed. And while I personally like it the decision was not to have the Ciliocyte replace the Myocyte as crawling engine. It would be interesting if it allowed an organism to use it as a gyroscope to change directions I agree with humon, i think ciliocyte should be bu...

Re: Unofficial Forum Chat

hi guyssssss! is it possible to make a smart cell that can find food by farting? The challenge made in beta is actually based on the community creation involving smart farters :) . There all sorts of farters from simple propulsion, up into an organism that only consist of 1 cell (both feed on food,...

Re: Centrifuge

This thing is really fun to mess with  . https://www.dropbox.com/s/ebcgz2k5dafcriw/centrifuge-devoro.substrate?dl=0 For a pretty huge "organism" spinning really fast at viscosity that low, they are really sturdy, good job. Also, spinning organism is your speciality?. When you mentioned the cili...
