Re: Shiva

Here's another more streamlined version, now with 5 arms and only with muscle bending. The Shiva Star: https://www.dropbox.com/s/51y5yl2uv2vdtlo/Shiva%20Star.substrate?dl=0 It can grow to to a size of impressive 200 cells when the conditions are right before shooting new eggs into the substrate. Shiva

I felt like revisiting starfish organisms and came up with a twist: 2 Stereocytes control a Myocyte for contraction and bending. Paired with low viscosity and food lumps it makes for this elegantly floating organism that multiplies by fissur: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4cd1k5xmhfj8vb6/Shiva.substrate...

What kind of help are you looking for? How is your organism dying? Does it just not get enough nutrients? Doe sit digest itself? Some details would help us help you :)

Re: Increased numberr of modes?

Have you exhausted the number of modes already? I haven't needed 40 yet. More modes is a matter of memory and therefore performance which makes it a sensitive piece.

The size of the petri dish was always modifiable. Simply hold the New Substrate button pressed until the advanced menu shows up.

Re: 64: Nanobot

Ok I finally found a solution as well with a 5 cells organism. ... This is what I'm pointing, the solution should be made close to what the level designer expected. Glad you solved it! And yes, the idea behind this challenge is to figure out what you can do with Ciliocytes. That's why there is no F...

Re: 64: Nanobot

That's right. There is not just one design that can solve this challenge. All designs so far have some things in comon, but I think that comes naturally in almost every challenge :-) On the fine tuning part, I've solved all challenges with Snap Values active and when designing new challenges I make ...

Re: 64: Nanobot

Hi Ben,

yes, that is intended. You'll need to create an organism that is able to move across the substrate without flooding it with sheer cell growth. 4 splits can mean up to 16 cells, right? The challenge is to make something work with that limitation.
