Try opening the cell lab file with other file explorer.
I use ES File explorer to open cell lab files.

I read in older discussions that stemocyte will not reset its age if it differentiates.

They probably did that by testing the genome in the microscope rather than in the preview window.

Having a feature that allows us to create folders in cell lab for sorting and storing our genome files is actually a good idea.
