Re: Question about the "Contaminate with random cells" option.

Yeah I guess as with evolution IRL, new potential traits should not be a big burden until they suddenly become an useful feature. And with organisms made of few cells, it's hard not to have a burden when a cell doesn't do anything useful yet. Perhaps a photocyte+virocyte that stays alive and keeps s...

Re: 19: Sterilization V.74

A good way to get your cells to die is to produce a few Buouyocytes at the beginning and then don't produce any more. The Buoyocytes will die in 240h and all your cells will fall to the bottom. Can you use only 2 or 4 Buoyocytes total with what you have? If you give a fixed limit to the production ...

Re: Virocytes redone

I've made two prototypes for now... I can add a stemocyte to the virocyte transfer, but I didn't understand exactly where you needed it. The first one is similar to yours: linear viroswimmer substrate ...and the linear viroswimmer genome It's linear, and the virocyte (M7) copies M3 to M3, and transf...

Re: Avoidance 2: something cool (not a solution)

The cell count objective on its own already makes the challenge extremely difficult. Extremely difficult is fine but this seems a little excessive. I see your point now. I have a decent solution but it took like 20 tries because one avoider would hit the sentinels by accident before the 200h mark :...

Re: Virocytes redone

I agree with @alast and @bwisialo, and yes, using different modes it's more a trick than a necessity... About 15 modes, well, it would surely have more potential for an endgame player to make fun, crazy stuff. But it's 15/20 rewritten modes in the target organism... I mean, perhaps it's a bit overpo...
