Re: Virocytes redone

I see. You want a virus that infects a common swimmer, and makes it into a smart swimmer that spawns smart virus swimmers. Yeah it's a lot to ask to a single Virocyte (you'd be needing 12-13 modes the way you set it), but I'll see if I can give you a solution... This should be posted on user challen...

Re: Virocytes redone

I see you're an old user, but there's a page about Virocytes on the new wiki... Perhaps see if it clarifies things? If it doesn't, this might be a good occasion to make the page better.

Re: Virocytes redone

I think with all the new additions, the way virocytes work need to be redone. First off, now that there are more modes in the game, virocytes should be able to copy more modes, perhaps entire genomes, which are often requires in their entirety to work. Secondly, there should be more control over ho...

Re: Fastest Cell(?)

This is fun :D I made a photocyte train  but when they accelerate to about 3 seconds/lap, I think they splat against the wall of the plate, because 2 cells out of 3 die. https://www.dropbox.com/s/3y2w9b40xx3lun0/fast.substrate?dl=0 Maybe a bigger cell could get some more acceleration before spl...

Re: Avoidance 2: something cool (not a solution)

You mentioned that the first infection is by either M1 or M2. I think it is always M2. M1 provides mass and is gone before it could infect the relevant cell. I think it's always the Photocyte hitting M2 that starts it. Oh you're right. M1 gives food to the devorocyte and then splits. I had put it t...

Re: Avoidance 2: something cool (not a solution)

Dunno... I was supposing that when I'll finally make a good genome, it should stay for 200 hours... No? :?

Not good then... :) That's cool, the challenge doesn't look like having easy cheats :)

How are you transferring them? Is there a way to backup our data in bulk?

Re: How Neurocytes, Stereocytes, Senseocytes, Stemocytes work

Petter, I was wondering if you could explain the issue addressed earlier in the thread. It's a phenomenon I saw quite a few times recently. Sometimes a Neurocyte will not oscillate even though it is at a seemingly appropriate preset, but it will oscilate if you change Channel 1 to a= +/- very small...
