Re: Mutations favoring extinction over intelligence

But what about having the radiation mechanic detect if an environment is 100% deadly to dumb swimming/crawling organisms and favor intelligence that way That would be artificial radiation. I already found a relatively efficient method of allowing smart creatures: Buyocytes. The beta indeed gives us...

I'd love to use these for some circle shaped macro cells aswell

Re: Digestion II

I thought of something like my avatar but seems to require a lot of energy and we got no sensor to detect food. With the new length option it is possible to create tiny passageways between cells where nutrients fit through. While practical and helps, it still is not enough to allow a species to bea...

It would be interesting if it allowed an organism to use it as a gyroscope to change directions

Re: Virocyte copy to

This has been reported already. And while this change does reduce functionality it also reduces complexity which has also been a great issue of this cell type. This updated version should be easier to grasp for new players. Us experienced players will certainly get used to it :-) RIP my dream of 60...

Genome editor show bug with gametes

If two gametes merge in the prescreen they bug out and start twitching.
Details:
Lipocyte turns into two max cytoskeleton gametes which are compatible with eachother.

Telomere detection

It would be nice if cells could also detect the telomere count alongside mass and age, would make some smartly reproducing organisms possible

Petter wrote:How did you test this? For me cytoskeleton works. Which output did you find not working?
Stereocytes especially. With the cytoskeleton I might have been unlucky, but after a decent while of experimenting at max radiation I couldn't find a single cell with altered cytoskeleton or output

Nah. Virocyte works way better and doesn't leave a hole.

Re: Gametes exploiting evolution gone wrong

Maybe a non-aggresive way to implement the need for genders is having a debuff in the 'compatibility' of two gametes if they share the same mode? That way intelligent and evolutionary design will always favor genders without forcing them to be always 2 or things like that, it stops the bug but also...
