21:Symbiosis

Version 36

I really don't have any idea how solve this challenge. I have tried all my creations, all my expertise, and nothing. These initial swimmers die as fast as the light.

I think I was able to solve this one by having an organism with mostly gluocytes, phagocytes and very specific adhesin settings. The gluocytes managed to grab the swimmers and thereby slowed them down enough to let them reproduce.The swimmers also made the phagocytes move around enough to let them reproduce!

Here is what I did:

Phagocyte 1 -> Flagellocyte, Phagocyte 2 (adhesive)
Phagocyte 2 -> Phagocyte 3, Phagocyte 1 (3 sticking to the Flagellocyte, 1 spit out for reproduction)
Phagocyte 3 -> Phagocyte 2, Glueocyte (2 again sticking to the Flagellocyte, Glueocyte spit out)

Now the trick is to have the Flagellocyte in a slight angle. That's key in my solution as that way my swimmer will run circles and that way hit the destructive walls way less likely. This is what keeps my organism alive. And the Glueocyte catches those poor suicidal swimmers eventually creating big chunks of cell mass. This way you can easily get the counter even up to 100h satisfying both benchmarks :)

Y'all make this much to complicated. Just make swimmers that swim in circles. They will push the original cells away from the edge. :p

Right! I think that is how I solved it the first time too. But thats the only sution i forgot to save. So I had to solve it again to be able to give an answer :D

None of the above helped in any way, nor did the video walkthrough.

I need a step by step explanation please.

Nevermind. It was messy but I got it done myself. So proud!

I just made a glueocyte that sticks to the plant on the right, makes a nitrocyte, then the nitrocyte launches swimmers with gluocytes with high nutrient thingy, then those glueocytes made nitrogen for the plant on the right with nitrocyte... It works, at least, although it makes the plant bend and break.

similar, M1 glueo set to max 3 adhesin splits M2(nitro no split)/M1 from left to right, when it makes connect with second plant it stops splitting.
