it stumped me too. you need the cells that are going to split to have high nutrient property, including the thing that splits into the egg. make sure you have instant spit mass on the developing organism. I also solved it by making the head split into two eggs. make sure the nerotype is oscillating for 1 hour and the mycotype is using 2 chancels. oh, yeah, cheater way: evolve a phagocyte. yep. a normal phagocyte in a petri dish with a cell limit of about fifty. start with high radiation and nutrient consideration. then slowly lower both. leave a little nutrients left, but bring the radiation down to 0. give it a little time to rule out the best one, and vuala! test it on a clear plate, and if you think its worthy, put it in the level.

There's an unfortunate unintended solution to this challenge - spoiler (copy-paste or quote to see) => Put 10 lypocites to split at zero mass into two copies of themselves, and unfreeze. Right before starving, they'd hit 10*2^5 = 320 > 300 cells <= this can be fixed by reducing the initial cell count to 9 (or maybe to 8 because 8 is prettier).

That's an amazing find!!! This should definitely be fixed. Reducing the number of inserted cells as you suggested is the most direct way to go. Another option would be to introduce a timer. Just to provide an alternstive, your suggestion is probably the prefered way.

That is unfortunate. Really, 5-6 should be fine.

I have had Cell Lab for a while, and challenge 35 has been the one that has had me stuck forever. I read the whole thing, tried the lipocyte, the adhisen, everything, yet the most I've ever gotten is about 50 cells.
My genome is a lipocyte that splits early on into an neurocyte and a phagocyte. Soon after, the phagocyte splits into a myocyte and another phagocyte. Then the phagocyte splits a lipocyte attached, and at an angle. After the lipocyte splits, it's no longer attached to the parent.
What am I doing wrong? The children don't live long, rarely does one live to reproduce After the population reaches its peak of 50 cells, it begins to decline until there's none left. What can I do?
Only Neurocytes can play Cell lab

You can try to oncrease the Lipocytes split mass to have it collect enough energy to grow into a fully developoed new crawler right away.
