Here we remember old challenge discussions that got purged in the great forum cleanup of 2018.
Would you like any tips? Is this the only challenge you haven't completed yet?
No problem, thanks!bwisialo wrote:Would you like any tips? Is this the only challenge you haven't completed yet?
I still miss 8... besides this one they're infection 3, friction 2, scarce conditions 2 and 3, predator, and desert 1 and 2.
But I'm cool, I like a challenge
I respect that!
You wrote most of the wiki entry for Virocytes, right? Nice work!
I did! Thanks
I was able to prevent the cell explosion by having a Flagellocyte Glueocyte pair quickly usher the first Photocyte away. Then I can get it to increase the count of user cells without getting hit by the module. But with the amount of light, I don’t know if it's possible to get enough energy for 200 users cells while keeping only a few Photocytes alive.
I've gotten user cells to 82 when the initial photocytes died.
Not good then... That's cool, the challenge doesn't look like having easy cheatsbwisialo wrote:I've gotten user cells to 82 when the initial photocytes died.
No it doesn't. Yeah, I think the combination of cells and hrs will prevent the exploit. It's always good to test unintended solutions though. But speaking of difficulty, I'm not sure why this challenge should have the time requirement. The cell count objective on its own already makes the challenge extremely difficult. Extremely difficult is fine but this seems a little excessive.
Dunno... I was supposing that when I'll finally make a good genome, it should stay for 200 hours... No?
