Cell Fart Preview Bug

Post by H4yw1r3 » Fri Mar 02, 2018 2:03 pm

I found a bug that turns my genome's initial cell into a cell fart. This affects the other genomes as well when you load them after opening mine. I can assure you, my organism is functional as always and doesn't pop into a cloud of dust..

Haha, interesting bug, and great find. Thanks for reporting. How did you create the genome?

I first used a Senseocyte then I wanted the genome to respond when it's near a wall. I used Stereocyte instead to differentiate which is the front and back of the organism for it to boost away from the wall.. ;)

Ok, I finally found the issue. It was the good ol' divide by zero, resulting in a nan propagating all over the place :P. Basically I assumed a wall sensing stereocyte would never end up _exactly_ at the center of a substrate so I could neglect a special case to save some speed. Turns out cells are spawned right at the center of the preview :P.
