WIP vines

Post by Nitronomer » Sun Feb 05, 2017 7:08 pm

I tried to make an organism which attaches onto the top of the substrate, then starts sprouting downwards while making seeds for more, and currently its doing fine, its just that soon after creating seeds, it becomes a huge mush of photocytes and glueocytes at the top. Anyone know how to fix this? :?:

i'm not too sure how to fix things like that but it might have to do with the angle of which the glueocytes are created and the angle in which the photocytes are formed. if not, it could be that you forgot the gravity.
If you still can't figure it out, then try using buoyocytes instead.

Protected egg? And decrease the sunlight, make them rotate.

First: buocytes wouldnt fit the thing I was going for, a plant which roots itself onto the ceiling

Second: what do you mean protected egg/rotate them?

No ,it's two different suggestion. First is egg with keratin. Second is light rotation at slow rate to make their number controlable

This version makes sure all cell are protected by Keratinocytes at all times, and vines don't stick to one another. But it still maxes out the plate. You need to have a way to seriously reduces the number of new vines created and/or how long the grow or live. You might look at the Dandelions thread.

i think instead is that there should be buoyocytes have max density and will be at the end of the vines to make them dangle downwards.
