The icon could be produced as a genome, as a fractal, or on a larger scale.

Omnidirectional Icon would be cool :P , Im not that good with fractals. Thinkering with the friction is alot of hassle.... as for bigger layout is definetely possible, the light green color actually have 3 modes before I changed the color so there is "plenty" of modes.

Im afraid Hatsune Miku is waaaay too large. I dont know if I can make Yoshi, the smallest one is around 30x30 pixel..

Nice creation C4pung! (Heh, it's been a while since I replied. I've been backstabbing the hell out of people in TF2)

I wonder if a 3d pixel art (like a Halo ship or something) could be possible with more cells. It would take advantage of perspective.

Single celled pixel art is alot more easier and less tedious to do.... but its kinda repetitive. You basicly put cell after cell and changing its color. No "cell lab-flavor" in my opinion :? Since it doesnt involve any splitting whatsoever.

.

Thanks! :D , been awhile Tarux  . 3d pixel art would be achiveable using isometric design I think, and using hexagon tiles.

Wait, would the shape of the tiles affect the resulting image in any way? Does it depend on the angle of the sides?

I've seen you do this quite a bit, but why do you write "meh thinks" instead of "methinks"?
