Experiment: can SoilMakers sustain smart swimmers?

Post your creations here. It can be either a cool genome or an interesting ecosystem. Indicate if you designed it yourself or if it was created through evolution, or both :). File, picture, or video is required.

Experiment: can SoilMakers sustain smart swimmers?

Post by tettigonia » Thu Nov 02, 2017 5:08 pm

Eu Sou A Fazenda has claimed that his SoilMakers can sustain life, and to be honest I was a little skeptical at first. However, I placed one in a substrate with my most efficient smart swimmer, and the result ended my doubts. The substrate below has no nutrients, just max light and one SoilMaker.

If you check challenges for my earth substrate, I used a soilmaker like organism to provide nutrients for a crawler challenge. It is possible to beat aswell.
-First experiment of the Aspiring Apprentice-
Once a single split,
Now a grand gift,
Thanks to evolution,
A complete revolution.

The substrate being well lit,
The cells no longer fit,
One last tragic split:
"I quit!"

They can do it, but the cell must be higly adabted and there be a lot of soilmakers:
1: It should only move when food is around
2: It should have almost no activity when there isnt food
This means that, if dont have food they would need to turn a lof of their body into Lipocytes,
so there is time for the Keratinocytes to die.
