Verified Breeding

With the use of Seandoggy's battery-indicating prototype, I have made a prey that reproduces only when the indicator is green (or at a very high mass). I tweaked the indicator a bit so that it changes color accurately depending on the mass.

You can also make a predator that detects one of the colors on the spectrum of the indicator. The prey could 'sort of' camouflage itself when the predator only detects yellow. I, myself, didn't include one because the predator tends to go extinct when every prey is healthy..

Good job implementing it! :D . I was also wondering what kind of function the battery have for a swimmer but dont really understand its mechanism yet

Check out the post, get the genome and examine it. Or you could just ask me for a spoiler. The non scientific way.
It could function as a way to debug your organisms without cell diagnosis

Why not make the predator chasing the healthy and yellow one and make them forcefully lay some uncultured green coloured egg to reduce the mass and lure the predator away. Lol, difficulty +6

Joke aside, I love how the color works based on mass. I hope I can understand stemocyte a lot better T•T

Thanks me for the color, mate. I made it

I was only waiting for anyone to actually made a better one than me until you shouted at me on your topic, insisting to release the unstable version of this substrate..

Haha why not, thanks Seandoggy for an amazing idea. And thanks H4yw1r3 for implementing it into an organism.

No probs. Still sad about reinstalling Cell Lab. Lost tons of organisms that possess different stuff within them..

I mean, it's too late now, and you probably already learned this lesson, but it's a good idea to keep your substrates and genomes backed up on Dropbox or something..
