Just some ideas

Post by JPrescott » Tue Sep 19, 2017 8:50 am

I was trying to replicate Tetrabaena socialis when my train of thought spawned these:

-The option to add flagella to any cell. Any number can be added with variable length and speed. Though, this will probably render the flagellocyte useless.
-Cnidocyte. That would be awesome.
-A cell that can suck in and expell water to move.
-An option to make cells more rigid and less bouncy.
-Some cell or part (eyespot, perhaps?) that can detect light and the wall so it can be programmed to avoid or go towards it.
-Customizable cells? Add and remove organelles to have a more functional unicellular organism.
-Aaand.. maybe a PC version? I think there are a lot that can be done on a computer than a handheld device and it may improve performance (bigger substrate and more organisms). If not, then.. is modding possible? Imagine the possibilities some mods could provide

Most of these ideas have already been discussed numerous times ;) What's a Cnidocyte? And what would be the difference between a cell using water propulsion to a Flagellocyte except for the explanation why it moves?
Perfection hasnt reached me yet, but its trying hard!

Takes time to fill, periodical boosts instead of steady speed

Now a grand gift,
Thanks to evolution,
A complete revolution.

The substrate being well lit,
The cells no longer fit,
One last tragic split:

adjust adhesion stiffness on split properties of cell to get more rigid organisms,
you can already make larger substrates, just long press on new substrate to get the extra options.

Cnidocytes are tiny harpoon-like structures that jellyfish use to sting. It would be cool if any (o) hit by it would just stop and be paralyzed

That would mostly affect myocytes and flagelocytes but it would be as great if it could pull them in.

Maybe the effect could spread like cyanide? To affect the entire organism. It would also have to get some kind of range to make it an actual option besides devorocytes.

I think he means as in stop ALL motor movement and even a powerful signal can't get it to work.
