More New Cells

Post by Science Nerd » Mon Nov 20, 2017 1:39 pm

Porocyte - acts like a regualtor for flow of nutrients when connected to cells. It functions by controlling the amount of nutrients flowing through it based on the number of cells inputting and outputting nutrients and the net flow of nutrients. It also acts a valve to regulate passage of substances through it from the environment
Audiocyte- produces sound waves
Crystallocyte- a cell that can reflect/refract, focus and regulate the intensity of light and sound waves passing through it

P.S- Out of topic but is the beta version gonna be expected next year? And is a 3D version of cell lab possible in the near future? Sort of like cell lab was made by Unity that kind of thing.

What would you use sound for?

And is there a natural equivalent to the Crytallocyte?
Perfection hasnt reached me yet, but its trying hard!

The crytallocyte seems like a reflector of light. Welp, too bad litteraly everything on earth does the exact same thing of reflecting light.

The "porocytes" have been suggested already, but under a different name.

The sound cells seem pretty damn useless, and the crystaliowhatever is interesting, but it would require "light" to be programmed in to the game, and that is no litle task. It will definitely slow the game down. I don't know if you noticed, but the light we have in the game as of right now isn't very functional, it just stays static (or rotates if you want it to). It isn't affected by other cells. Yes, it would be very cool to have cells compete for the light kinda like trees in forests(have cells that block the light from passing), but as of right now, that isn't possible without lots and lots of re-coding.

I think. I'm not the dev after all.

I have a trademark cell called thrombinocyte... it is on my plans right now...
