Dying in Cell Splitting

Post by Science Nerd » Mon Dec 17, 2018 3:26 pm

I noticed that the daughter cell dies after splitting with a smaller split ratio even with the parent cell having a large substantial splitting mass. When initially placing a cell with these parameters the cell divides normally. But when given food or cell boost, upon dividing the daughter cell just dies or doesn't form.

Could it be that the daughter cell having the bigger ratio has too much mass on the split that the size is so big that it crushes the smaller ratio one?
(So on regular situation without external food source given, the daughter cell that has higher ratio has less size that is not enough to kill the smaller ratio cell-
that is my only guess I think)
