Feeding

Post by Alast » Tue Feb 14, 2017 4:42 pm

Description: On this substrate we have some Flagellocytes with no active of gaining energy themselves. Without our aid it will only be a matter of hours until they go extinct. Can you help them survive?

Substrate: https://www.dropbox.com/s/3l07qxtjutehm ... trate?dl=0

Objective (difficult): Get the initial Flagellocytes for 300h to a population of at least 50 cells

Max Cells inserted: 1

Cell Type allowed: all but Virocytes

Alright! I'm sure you can optimize your genome further and solve the challenge :-)

Ah, I see. This was more straightforward than I previously thought. Nice work!

I might have over-engineered it, but it gets the job done and looks neat. Sometimes swimmers get trapped in a bubble, but they don't seem to mind, and may burst out when older cells in the feeder die off. There is only one "mother" cell, so if that gets pushed out of the light and dies, they're all doomed. But meanwhile, lots of happy flagellocytes!

Genome (v103): https://www.dropbox.com/s/yj2axd8rn4rjs ... enome?dl=0 - just place M1 near the top edge.
