De-Contaminating

Post by CandyYAHFT » Sun Apr 03, 2016 7:13 pm

A quite different challenge, your objective here is to clean the plate, here is a species of fatty swimmers that maxes out the substrate, which means you may are going to have a little trouble to reproduce at first.
Rules:
•Don't edit the substrate settings
•Only one cell inserted
•You have to put your cell at the very first moment the substrate starts
•Only gleucocyte, devoroucyte, keratynocyte, and secrocyte are allowed

Objectives
•Clean the substrate (easy)
•Clean the substrate in less than 400h (medium)

Notes:
I suggest for also ingame stuff, to justify the cell limit by this explanation:
The cells exhertions saturate the envirorment, if so reproduction will get affected till the envirorment ventilates, by reducing the cell number.
•This is motivated by painting this species in poop color
•My personal best is 307h

You can clean in less than 400 by inserting a single Devorocyte.

damn, why are there always holes in my challenges?
is a very very well tweaked devoroucyte at least?

No. I only changed the split angle.

Yeah, even if you don't get all the initial cells right away, the last Lipocytes are dead by then.

With a little tweaking I made it under 150h with Devorocytes only.
Perfection hasnt reached me yet, but its trying hard!

Logic told me the more the swimmers the harder it'll be, can believe my genome is only better than a single mode devoroucyte for a few hours, I guess I have to test better my challenge next time

The way it is currently set up, more swimmers simply means more food for the parasite. The low viscosity makes it easy for the Devorocytes to get around and the high Salinity allows them to live longer. If you raise viscosity to about 75% and decrease Salinity close to the default setting, there are about 200 of your swimmers and a single mode Devorocyte doesn't stand a chance. I haven't tested the settings and species further than that though.

Yes, more testing would be good :)
