Makes sense. Though I'm very happy with my double-stereo targeting system ;)

Btw. I'm working on the next challenge. Stay tuned :D

Yeah, I was thinking about "stereo-steering" after I posted. Having them right next to the Phagocyte should work perfectly. The two dividing lines would intersect (at some distance) straight ahead of Phagocyte, creating a symmetrical field oriented around the Phagocyte. Pretty awesome! :)

Predatory crawler? If not, I'm calling it. :)

You caught me ;-) Feels like the natural next step, doesnt it?

If you like I can send you my latest Stereocrawler so you can see how the Stereocytes are set up.

I'm very curious about your solutions too! Do you think you could send/post me some too?

Cheers,

HI Petter,

A stereo-crawler challenge would be a great addition to a future version. In working with substrates we were wondering: what role, if any, does static friction play for Myocite crawlers? I suppose I could ask that in General Discussion. I'll post it there as well.

I'll be sending a few things via PM.

Will send you a substrate with my stereocrawler.

And I agree. More Crawler challenges would be a great addition.

Oh crap, ah Crawling Predator is hellish to design...

Haha, what is it chasing? Stereo-Crawlers? Then you could make them like those lizards that drop their tail when they are chased with some senseocyte and stemocyte :P, I mean if it's not already complicated enough :P.

This challenge was cool, also hard. Do you think it is reasonable to put it in the app? Maybe like a last challenge? Suggestions on limits and rules for use in the app? Maybe not super hardcore but still not allowing any solutions without myocyte and stereocyte.

Cheers,
Petter

Of course it's hellish. And you'll have to depart from symmetry ;)
