Re: Cyanide Worm

I'm not the best at cell lab, so its not so easy for me. I tried using brute force by using flagelocytes and lipocyte to cut the tail. I was able to cut it, but it didn't hurt the core. Could it be possible to continue developing a method like this to kill the core? :?:

I took this challenge in what I think is the spirit Nitronomer intended, which is to try to kill the organism directly instead of preventing its cells from splitting by hitting the 1000-cell limit. If photocytes are prohibited (as they should be), then I can't see a way to do it. Every cell is connected to at least two keratinocytes at all times, making it immune to devorocytes, gluocytes, cyanide (of course), and apparently even virocytes. I tried sticking them in the crevices inside the photocyte core, but it just spits them right back out. I tried sticking a lipocyte inside it to break the adhesin, but it doesn't care. Any swimmer that gets near it is either poisoned or mutilated by its constantly splitting shell. This critter is extremely resilient!

So I gotta know... Has anyone beat this thing without photocytes? More specifically, without "cheating" by maxing the substrate? Don't tell me how, I just wonder if it's even possible.

Once, but haven't replicated. Split force of initial cell broke the adhesins.

I gave that method a try now that you've mentioned it. Never thought of that before. It's pretty hard to achieve.

CHEAT: Set the viscosity to 0 and insert a swimmer

Well, changing the substrate settings you can destroy anything...

OMG I DID IT
Make a lipocyte be divided into two myocytes, and set contraction of the myocytes to -4.0. Now you can break the core
