Huh, this is an extremely interesting substrate. It's the first time I've seen Static friction make a definitive difference.

Holy crap! I made a simple crawler using Megathosto's mechanism, changed some settings and got crawling without Lift. It crawls sideways relative to how we ususlly make crawlers. Credits to Megathosto! :D I really am shocked.

That's amazing! This might make for whole new concepts of movement behavior.

The smart balloons with Myocytes that I mentioned have a more difficult time surviving on the the substrate in the initial post than the smart balloons without Myocytes. If Salinity is increased, they do fine. In comparison, though, it looks like the use of Myocytes is disadvantagous, using more energy than what is gained by using them.

I've added nutrients and changed my Creep from Stereocyte to Myocyte. It's doing ok in this environment :-)

Stereocyte to Neurocyte. ;) I wasn't sure what environment you meant. Contraction helps it move more. :)

I knew it, there is something in it.
Well, the myocyte lift at +1.00 did work but I tested both of them and the -1.00 seems to move faster than +1.00. I don't really know why but myocyte is not as simple as we thought. Maybe we can create an organism that slither in the future.

bwisialo crawler can still crawl in higher viscosity substrate but they are now slower. Maybe some changes in substrate can make them move fast even in default substrate viscosity.
