User-Created Challenge: Floaters III

Post by bwisialo » Tue Nov 03, 2015 5:40 am

This challenge is very similar to Floaters II, but the substrate has no nitrates.

Please don't post links to your solutions, but feel free to post hints as well as general descriptions and images of your solutions.

To attempt the challenge, you need to complete "19: Slippery Slope" in Cell Lab, which gives you access to Nitrocytes.

Objective: Reach 400 cells (Difficult); Reach 500 cells (Very Difficult)

Cell types allowed: All except Flagellocytes

Inserted cells allowed: 6

My genome's first cell splits into a nitrocyte and keratinocyte an soon reaches 500 cells, though is bugged :(

Why a Keratocyte?

Because keratinocytes are bugged in v42, and combined with bugged nitrocytes, you get a cute solution that reaches the cell limit in a few minutes, this without using any phagocytes, just nitrocytes, flagellocytes, and keratinocytes, that get energy and mass from nothingness, I'd love to post it, but something is broken, I'm going to send you the solution via p.m. to see if it solved soon

Ah, that bug. Actually I was the first one to point it out ;) So of course that solution doesn't count then :)

Then I can't solve it yet??????
WHY MY AMAZING SKILLS TO USE BUGS IN MY FAVOUR DOESN'T WORK
I mean, I was actually solving a lot of the user created-challenges with bugs, but I'm afraid they'll all disappear in the next update, that's why I'm staying in v42, there are many bugs I have detected, but I wanted to exploit them a little bit more   8-)
I'm the face of evilness right

Well, of course you can solve them exploiting glitches in the software, but that won't gain you any praise ;) Unless you find new bugs and document them accordingly. That's praise worthy.

Ammkay at least I solved all the 30 official challenges with genomes with no bugs on them, I started exploiting bugs in the experiments, and soon in the usercreated-challenges, but I was doing this, for the fact I always dreamed on this, I mean for the real life, a machine that separates dark matter, and nothingness, into infinite mass and energy, that's why I was aiming for doing that

Nice work! You can probably just evolve the genome a bit and hit 500. It didn't take me long to solve this, but I think it's a pretty good challenge. :)
