User-Created Challenge: Precarious Conditions

Post by bwisialo » Wed Nov 04, 2015 8:03 am

Nature can be cruel.

This substrate has a rim of light at the top. There are no nitrates. Gravity pulls you down and you have to float to the top. And cells die when they touch the edge of the petri dish.

Please don't post links to your solutions, but feel free to post hints as well as general descriptions and images of your solutions.

To attempt the challenge, you need to complete "19: Slippery Slope" in Cell Lab, which gives you access to Nitrocytes.

Objective (Very Difficult): Can you reach 400 cells?

Cell types allowed: All

Inserted cells allowed: 10

In your message you asked if your genome is has the bug. Unfortunately, yes it does. If you ever have a genome that lives entirely off the nutrients left by dead cells, you genome has the bug. That form of existence simply is not possible in this game -- unless, of course, your exploiting the bug.

To tell whether your genome is living entirely off the nutrients left by dead cells, a bit of common sense helps. The only nutrient on the substrate is sunlight. Your species is phagocytes, keratinocyte, and phagocytes -- none of which get nutrients from sunlight.

That's good. And nice work. :) What is the peak cell count you reach?

This is not my original bugged genome, my objectives was to make photocytes nitrocytes genome, and then a nitrocytes phagocytes genome to recycle death cells, but my recicling cells outnumber the photocytes, and then keep going, I don't think is a bug, is a recycler, to recycle nutrients when photocytes die
