Grassland

Post by Aryan » Fri Apr 13, 2018 11:59 am

Description: There is a lot of grass here but no one to eat it. I tried many animals but all of them died because they can't digest cellulose in the grass. So, I am feeling lonely here.

Substrate: https://www.dropbox.com/s/a7dei9ojn474q ... trate?dl=0

Objective (Very Difficult): Can you make an organism which will be able digest grass and won't die like my all other pets, maintaining a cell count of 20.

Max Cells inserted: 1

Cell Type allowed: Photocyte and glueocyte not allowed. My grass doesn't likes parasites.

Your cells: 35-400

Limit satisfied for: 2000 hrs

Additional rules: Place every cell in the middle.

Note: If you want the challenge to be more challenging try solving it without using a devorocyte.

Feel free to post the solution. This works only in beta.

I got a clue it needs to digest (break into simpler substances) the grass. :)

Interesting concept. Unfortunately, you can max out the substrate pretty easily by exploiting a feature of your grass. I won't post that here to not spoil for others. I can tell you via PM if you want.

I think problem was that the glueocytes can be used to suck nutrients from the photocytes so I have removed them.

"It took me only a few modes and one cell type to finish the challenge. Suprisingly, it even maxed out the substrate before midway of the required time. Not only that but it managed to only break two "grasses"..

I'm not gonna post the solution yet since you guys haven't solved it yet.. (Just to make it fun)
Are complex creatures too advanced for you to understand?
Well, let me flood you with them.

I've done it with only one mode :-P

Aryan, correct, I've exploited the Glueocytes. So let's see what it looks like after your change :-) When will you post the new substrate?

I've also suppressed my solution with only one mode. I've already did it but I decided to make it more complex

This is the new substrate. I have also updated the rules.
