I have created an organism that requires 3 parents to successfully develop.
It starts it's life as a male.
Releases sperm, then becomes an unfertilized female.
Where it can become fertilized. Once it has become fertilized, it will begin to develop an egg.(The white swimmer is the sperm)
Continue onto reply---> I can't post more than 3 files

Ahh, the fresh smell of celluar mitosis (or nuclear fission).

After being fertilized, the female then lays a partially developed egg, that requires to be fertilized again to continue development.
Once the egg has been fertilized, it can continue it's growth, developing into a new swimmer.
Each swimmer requires 2 sperm, one to fertilize female, one for egg development, and a mother to lay the egg, effectively having 3 parents instead of 2.
Ahh, the fresh smell of celluar mitosis (or nuclear fission).

So.. The partially developed egg is like a toddler that requires milk to turn into an adult?
Something like that? Wtf?!
Do you release that you have to sprinkle sperm in an egg to make it hatch?
Kinda?

That's basically what it is. I know, weird concept indeed.

Based on the recent reproductive flower, Ive been thinking about implementing 3 "genders" swimmers. Male and female are the usual swimmers (female carry stemo, male carry secro).
But now both gender carry an unfertilized stemocyte that will turn into their corresponding reproductive organ if fertilized by the third gender (secrocyte is way easier but virocyte will be super cool). Right now I dont have a working species

, the main problems will be limited modes (obviously), gender detection (how they chase each other), and gender probability (how to make 1/3 probability).
Currently resides in Showcase of Our Creations . Have you realized how many

you killed everytime you press the sterilize button? You monster !

That's cool, look forward to seeing what you do with gametes.
