Maybe a good working solution for this would be clicking ont he parameter name and it pops up similar to the way we alter outputs of cells and parameters. giving us the slider bar again, a seperate nujmber to enter the number manually, and a description of the range the numbers are allowed to have. and this feature should also apply to the sliders of cells.

The problem is that tapping slider name aready pops up info about it, maybe tapping the slider dot or holding / double tapping it pops up the number box

Just seeing the current values in brackets next to the parameters would be enough to make me happy.
well the slider + name + number would be too tight, So a switchabel UI via settinsg would work better in these regards. I still think clicking on the name of a parameter should popup the number input possbility this kinda adds both if someone needs a number input.

I think that help window when we click on parameter could be removed and instread would pop up window where we could change parameters exactly. and the help button could be added on top or on bottom of genome UI which would be showing help for all parameters

maybe the slider UI will look like this:

split angle: 60° [ – ] ————⚫———————— [ + ]

The value of parameter is displayed with the name of parameter and a plus and minus button so we can adjust the value without sliding the slider.

or maybe we can put the exact value by double pressing the parameter value.
Have a nice day! :)

I think most reasonable ways might be having 2 sets of UIs for users to pick in settings a slider version as the normal mode, and a pure input value box version as the expert mode, where the snap value is generally enough for beginners with slide bar, where only those of us need complex and precise values would switch to the expert mode. The expert mode doesn't even need to be simple input box, it can also use drop-down menus for each digit of the value (4 menus for 4 digits precision), where it would be easy to gradually narrowing down the precise value one decimal digit at a time (0.1000 -> 0.1200 --> 0.1230 --> 0.1234), sort of like a multiple digit combination lock dial for each parameter. How about a slider if snap values is on and number input if snap values is off?

Slider:
Nutrient Priority: 10.00 [ - ] ————————— ⚫ [ + ]

Number input:
Nutrient Priority: [ 7.30 ] <--- (The value is displayed here and it can be edited if you press it.)
(The minimum and maximum value will also displayed in the number input if it is empty.)
Have a nice day! :)
