Tentacles

Post by WhatTheSillyName » Sat Jul 14, 2018 9:51 am

Hello everyone!
Here is my tentacles with two different design.
They are the prototypes. They need to be optimized.
I am making an organism with a tentacle on it.
I hope you guys can give me suggestions and comments.
I don't want to say too much.

It works well. It can go towards where it is attracted, as expected. I was hoping that you could make the end bend as well when the stimulus is near the stem of the tentacle to give it a more 'grabbing' look when it moves. Kinda hard to execute but I think it's possible.

One more thing, will the end of the tentacle just be a plain flat surface or you have further plans for it? Thanks, in advance.

Thank for your reply (^_^)
that is what I thinking too. I believe that using more stem cell in the bottom part can prevent growing too long, decreasing the sensitive of the tentacle's end. The end of the tentacle should be "sharper" or modified so that the target will not stay on that plain flat surface.
This massive tentacle is pretty hard for me to find a good use.

I was thinking of putting in Neurocytes with a certain time of oscillation just to keep it contracting and extending. Visually fun and entertaining  .
