Color conversion

Anyone here know how to convert hex value to the color sliders in cell lab?

all I know is 0.00 + 0.00 + 0.00 is black(#00000) and 1.00 + 1.00 + 1.00 is white(#fffffff)
1.00 + 0.00 + 0.00 is red(#ff0000), 0.00 + 1.00 + 0.00 is green(#00ff00) and so on...

a few millennia ago, there was a mountain in the middle of lake superior. monarch butterflies still make a sharp turn east to avoid the spot where it used to be during their migration.

I was trying to reverse engineer the same thing because of how the, "Logging substrate statistics to file," feature works. It's a really great idea to count the cells by color-group because and track only 27 different flavors of color instead of... what is 255 to the 3rd power... like 1.5 million different colors... However, what slider position is equivalent to what Color-Group?

This is another instance where it would be nice to implement my suggestion to be able to export the Genome data in CSV format. This way we can just read genome color slider settings instead of having to interrogate and manually document the sliders settings observed in the app.

Here was my recent failed attempt to try to visualize the range of colors per color-group, but it's been a long time since I did matrix math....

first multiply each value by 255. so 0.00 -> 0 and 1.00 -> 255
convert the r value to hex. then convert the g value to hex. then again, convert the b value to hex.
then join the value together so r1.00 g1.00 b1.00 is ffffff and r0.00 g0.00 b0.00 is 000000 and so on
