Re: Stomach Swimmer
It still is very poorly optimized, and dies out within 1000 hours. Walls also wipe it out. Yeah, wall avoidance would be as simple as adding two more stereocytes, and two more could do self avoidance, and I wouldn't have to change anything with the neurocytes, I don't think, but I'll have to balanc...

Re: Stomach Swimmer
You're right, it still has quite a few cells at adult stage, but I got reproduction working, I removed two of the eggs and replaced them with stereocites. I also spaced out the "wings" with adhesin length.

Re: Stomach Swimmer
Okay, here we go, I used Alasts substrate, and I made a genome that can eat and convert food, the reproduction isn't good enough yet, the child stage isn't smart, and the nutrients are too spread out for them to happen across random nutrients to consume. If anyone has suggestions for improvement, le...

Re: Stomach Swimmer
Still working on this thing. The lipase provides a good challenge. I like the way Alast wired the smart swimmers movement, I think I'm getting close to something worth sharing.

Re: Stomach Swimmer
That's exactly how it works :-) Collisions usually isn't a problem. Just in this case with the Lipase and the Ciliocytes collisions can be lethal. And messy, since they can fit some cells in their mouth with no way to digest cells.. The max connections feature is new isn't it? I think I can ensure ...

Re: Hydra
I recently made an organism consisting of one bouyocyte and one photocyte and let it run in radiation and day-night cycle. What happened was something similar to Hydra (and your organism) where the organism evolved to have gametes which after fusing would create a virocyte (that would repair any mu...

Re: Stomach Swimmer
Do you lean how I implemented the kill switch? Or which behavior are you referring to? Yeah, I think I figured it out, though, you limit splitting with max connections and set the split mass to always split, so when one breaks, it's allowed to split, and sets off a chain reaction. I'm making a new ...

Re: Stomach Swimmer
I've created yet another version! The layout is slightly updated to have the organism be safer from its own Secrocyte. Also I just cannot prevent collisions with other Swimmers. If that happens they tend to get so entangled that they both die and if food is near other Swimmers might run into that c...

Re: Verified Breeding
I mean, it's too late now, and you probably already learned this lesson, but it's a good idea to keep your substrates and genomes backed up on Dropbox or something..

Re: Another casual stomach swimmer
This is such a great critter, it showed me a good few things about the new features of cell lab too!
