I mean, they are code not human. Maybe its just an egg that need a lot of energy so that it can split quick enough? What if it is intentional parasite?

You can set the amount of mutation right?
Also, selfish gene is a part of evolution. I dont think we need to prevent selfish gene.
Second also, how does codes even determine if someone is selfish? That would take a lot of time and thinking.

Since it is PC version the file can be big :D definitely yes! It's ok if you can't... Just don't push yourself too hard! :)

I think saving both genomes and substrates is quite annoying since genomes very often belong to a certain substrate. I've changed the genome editor so it can have several genomes open at the same time in the PC version. What do you think about saving the genome editor state together with each subst...
