Moss IVF cheat?
Moss IVF cheat?

There's also something about Moss IVF. You could literally make a breach through the "walls" of the maze and slightly guide the swimmer to the Gluocyte in the middle. Fairly easy..

Re: Moss IVF cheat?
I've found another way to solve it (again). Messing up the Photocytes would lead to a clump of red Gluo's. This clears up the path for the swimmer..
Are complex creatures too advanced for you to understand?
Well, let me flood you with them.
Well, let me flood you with them.
Re: Moss IVF cheat?
Pics? Is this really easier than the intended way?
Re: Moss IVF cheat?
I would argue that this is fine and probably cannot be prevented entirely anyway.
Perfection hasnt reached me yet, but its trying hard!
Re: Moss IVF cheat?
The 'clumping-the-Photocytes' method is harder, but kind of easier than the expected way. The breaching method, however, is definitely the easiest way possible in this challenge..

Re: Moss IVF cheat?
I discovered an even easier way to solve this challenge.
White cells with their split ratio set to .5h
If you place them really close to a glueocyte (as close as possible. It's easier if you zoom in), they'll actually delete it, then split and disappear leaving no trace, so the sperm can go in a straight line.
Thanks to timing, the only real problem is the second photocyte, but you can hammer it with split cells to push it to the left of the sperm, and it'll cause no problem.
I wasn't able to get the timing right for the black cells, so this alternative did kinda save me

Re: Moss IVF cheat?
I just found this out, going through every challenge. I was checking to see if I was the first one and found this post.
Yes you can break any wall and not leave cells in the way. It's waay easier. I don't know if it should count as intended though.
Also I noticed that the "Cell Age" is still on in this challenge where I'd argue it'd be better if it wasn't.
Already the 50 cell limit is a good enough ceiling, and I got the most annoyed event ever when I missed an exit and had to take one extra lap to get to a inner circle and the middle cell died exactly as the organism was about to touch it.

Re: Moss IVF cheat?
It's seems very possible to cheat here but i know of no way of preventing it, and at least I didn't manage to when i first tried the challenge.
@Nayus, Good point, I put it on the todo list.
Cheers,
Petter

Re: Moss IVF cheat?
Yeah, I think it's fair to disable cell aging. It's not about that.
After all this is supposed to be a funn little filler challenge giving you something else than the usual challenges. I can live with this "cheat". But if you guys think it should be prevented I can try to think of something.
