That is weird, here it works fine every time. Do the fixed swimmers take over though? Can you see why they fail or they just don't perform well enough?

Hmmm... Try to change the color of your swimmers so you can see if your genes are spreading, and put one gamete adjacent to another gamete and put one swimmer, it might not work everytime.
