Yes, the new virus mechanics are a lot easier to understand now. I just understood the old mechanics a few days ago and realized how much stuff I didn't do with that mechanic.
The 'Copy to' function can still be replicated but it'll take up more modes than it should for it to be compatible with creatures created with modes, let's say 1 - 20.
Virocyte - missing "copy to"
Re: Virocyte - missing "copy to"
Are complex creatures too advanced for you to understand?
Well, let me flood you with them.

Re: Virocyte - missing "copy to"
Why would it take up more modes?
Re: Virocyte - missing "copy to"
I was trying to make my current virus compatible with most of my prey in my genebank.
Anyways, the 'copy to' will be easier to use (for me) instead of copy-pasting the same sets of cell from Mode 1 to 40.

Re: Virocyte - missing "copy to"
You don't need to copy paste the same set of modes.. I might be wrong, but once again, i don't think this removal makes it harder to make any kind of virus unless it is going to infect it's daughter cells. If you think otherwise, please post a detailed description of what you are trying to achieve so that I can understand if this removal really breaks something.

The yellow 2mode glue virus in this substrate functioned far better with the copy to feature.

Made in v13 and I think it copied to M4 can't seem to get it to behave how it did in that version without copy to, although that may be just me not being very good with virology.

beware the pixys
Re: Virocyte - missing "copy to"
It can easily be fixed by moving it to M4.
'Copy to' would be useful if I want to use M1 (for example) as a Phagocyte and the virus, somewhere in the modes, to be copied without the virus being the egg. I know I can use other modes but I need it to be diverse in order for the genome.
Sorry for a confusing statements.
