Sorry, I was referring to the genome-repairing photocyte organism

Re: Idea Bank 2.0
I'm interested to make a colony organism who live in groups and do not disperse, and i made it but Failed
So, i delete it and try to make a new.
Hey, btw, can i insert my ecology ideas to Wiki?

Re: Idea Bank 2.0
How about a organism that leads other smart swimmers to food and away from predators like what a shepherd does to his sheep.

Re: Idea Bank 2.0
That idea is cool
. I imagined a few functions that such organism might have but it might be close to impossible (for me) to implement. I imagined it a swimmer that have 3 pairs / 6 senseocytes and a neurocyte to translate signals, also maybe a protected structure with keratinocytes and it get energy via light.
Each pair of senseocytes sense different things, ranked strongest to weakest: avoid predator, seek swimmer, and seek food. The shepherd gather energy via light to avoid eating the food bits for the swimmers, the shepherd guid. Swimmers seek sheperds and predators seek swimmers.
A few problems i would think will appear is optimizing it so it wont just die (duh), finding a good layout for the shepherd, and probably the hardest one is balancing seek food and seek swimmers. We want the shepherd to be close to the swimmers to guide it, but also not to preoccupied on seeking food and abandoning the swimmers/vice-versa.
Tl:dr i dont know if its possible to make it.... the most complex organism I made is Cerebrum, an omni with brain and 4 senseocytes, it took me quite awhile to get the setting right. Making Shepherd would be a huge leap
