Millipede (Final Version)

Post by Vizard »

Hello all, I'm back! I took a fee months away from cell lab, until recently i gave the game a good dust off. While looking through my genepool I ran across my old and favorite Millipede, this time with asexual reproduction!

With a lot of testing on a different genome, my Ring habitat (Will upload a later date) I learned about Stemocytes a bit. I replaced the Lipocyte tail end of the Millipede with a stemocyte. Sadly the millipede has lost fat due to this, but in a rich environment it lives perfectly.

Here's how it works! The stemocyte simply counts, once the age of the stemocyte is over 70 hours, it turns into a fat cell, which splits at near full mass into a new millipede The stemocyte can still split though! If the stemocyte is fed enough nutrients it will split into a new body segment, instead of an egg.

Here is a large 3m petri dish with a rich environment and a few Millipedes, watch as they quickly grow and reproduce! I encourage everyone to play around with their settings, and look for their self healing properties! ... trate?dl=0 ... strate?dl0
