Conservative
The substrate is a little, different, to be clear, everything is default except by 2 things, advanced settings, in max nutrient, and salinity is maxed, I did it testing the effects of the first setting.
The substrate starts at 100h
Rules
•One cell inserted
•All modes allowed
•All cell types allowed
Objective
•Make 350 cells before substrate age is 200h
https://www.dropbox.com/s/63d3k8x5t7hzf ... trate?dl=0
Notes.
The most tested challenge I have so far, hope you like it, and Btw, since setting dificult was a thing I didn't seem able to make I decided to let that on your own, but I warning the thing is quite hard.
I had a queue of lots of genomes I had ready for this, optimized by hand I have 3 totally different solutions, based in three different methods of reproduction, and 3 different designs, just by that I can say there it should be plenty of creative solutions, but they're -I hope- hard to find.

Tweaked my Glowbug to make 350 at 161.1h and have 577 at 200h
But nice challenge. Doesnt look easy if you dont already have a genome like this

Perfection hasnt reached me yet, but its trying hard!
Re: Conservative
My 2-Flagellocyte swimmer completes it in the 160s. I know of a genome that can finish at less than 155, but I didn't create it

Re: Conservative
Hehe, yeah, just applied a little trick to the Glowbug starting sequence and made 350 at about 152h and by 200h got 748
Guess if I knew which particular genome you're talking about it could be even faster with that start trick.

Re: Conservative
Haha, didn't even think of that one.
Yes with that I just managed to reach 350 under 150h (146.8h) and 620 at 200h. It maxed out at 331h.

Re: Conservative
Glad you like it, I got 450 cells at 200h after some tweaking, finishing at that of 165h.
I'm so happy, is the first challenge in which my solution is not too inferior to yours
Btw, what think is a glowbug @alast ?

Re: Conservative
Also, this substrate has something weird, if you didn't noticed it, any species that can grow in numbers for some time, will eventually max out, that's why there's a time limit.
I was so close to make a simple swimmer that solves it, but it didn't sustain

Re: Conservative
Glowbug has been the first genome with a symmetric 2 Flagellocyte design that cares for their offspring until it has enough energy to survive on its own. It lay ground for smart predators and smart prey organisms with flight impulse. I think I can truly say that it's the best design I've ever created.
I called it Glowbug because I colored all cells black except for the rear cells, which are shiny green. They remind me of glowworms/lightning bugs hence the name.

I have a simple swimmer that finishes at 175.
My swimmer chain can clock in at 145. But it's time varies wildly.
