Scarce Friction - now Desert

Inspired by Candy I wanted to create a very certain species (that I'm not going to tell you about here ) and once I had the species and the right substrate together I thought, why not make it a new challenge Candy, I hope I'm not stealing your thunder!

Description: As the title implies this is kind of a cross breed between Scarce Conditions and Friction, not too many nutrients on the substrate and swimmers won't get far.

Objective (very difficult): Make it to 200 cells

Max Cells inserted: 5

Cell Type allowed: all

I have to admit I only tested it a bit, but it felt quite solid to me. If you find any loopholes anyway, let me know

I have a crawler that reaches 250 No loopholes.

Edit: Actually, my solution to Friction II reaches 270.

I tried the usual exploit and reached 200, barely, then the species died.

Actually thanks for making it, it was taking too much time for me, I actually got a migraine but still, just found the substrate, so now I guess I'll have to try out

Solved, I reach 200 cells, but after a few minutes they all die, does that happen to you?

No, the first two solutions I mentioned don't die. The other species I used -- to see if Lipocytes can be exploited to get high numbers -- does die though.

Ah dammit My Friction I and II solutions didnt stand a chance so I thought it was safe

Back to the drawing board I was after something... smarter.

Re: Friction solutions -- I'm guessing it's mostly a matter the contraction and lift settings. Some may work on Friction and here, others not.

I have uploaded a new substrate. The objective remains the same and so does everything else. Hope this provides more of an actual challenge
