I started exploiting bugs in the experiments, and soon in the user created-challenges, but I was doing this, for the fact I always dreamed on this, I mean for the real life, a machine that separates dark matter, and nothingness, into infinite mass and energy, that's why I was aiming for doing that

I agree with Alast. And, um... a bug is nothing like a fantastical machine. There is a programming explanation for the bug. Similarly, the workings of any real life machine would have a physical explanation. A "bug" is a bug because it is contrary to the intentions of the creator of the program. Exploiting a bug is not like being able to use a fantastical machine -- it's more like playing loaded dice.

Shouldn't be too hard Are you hitting 450 in evolution, or 450 from starting with 6 cells? If it's the latter, can you hit 500 with more initial cells?

Make sure to place the six cells well. For example, if your first floater is a sinker, place three a bit below the top of the substrate, and three a bit below the middle. I've found that this can increase the initial growth burst.

I could also get 450 from one cell.

Hint: both "creatures" should be fully mature before they split.

Very happy to see someone checking out the old challenges!

I haven't looked at this one in a while. It was created using v43 of Cell Lab, and I haven't checked it out since the introduction of smart cells and the updated Lipocytes. I don't think this is the same as the in-app Floaters III challenge that was added after v43, but I've actually never compared them.

Oh, it is the same. Somehow I didn't think Petter had used this substrate. Fine with me.

Mine gets 700-750 from one cell. Additional inserted cells don't seem to improve it.
