Evil or Good first chapter - new strain EVO

New series the other was cancelled to start a RPG kinda challenges. However is the story is lineal to the other.
Description In this challenge you are able to choice between 2 opposite objectives 1 good and 1 evil, sometimes evil is gonna be easier, other good will be the easy one, here you have a photocyte-keratynocyte chain, there are Max nutrients and low light, the cell limit was set at 500 cells, if the cell limit is reached you will probably have no other chance to try, then all you have to do is to discard and reopen the substrate
Story (reading the story is not important for solving the challenge, at least not this time)
You get your first important job in "CELL LAB Enterprises" you get a Petri dish, which contains a new algae designed to support extreme environments, this algae reproduces in low light, high pressure, and is immune to most of the plagues, you were asked to improve it by adding new genes through virus, but before you started your experiments, NONSANTO® called you, they want you to design a plague which destroys the new algae.

This is the template. Keep the words that are in bold. Insert your own text for the rest. If you have multiple goals, create a line for each one and make sure the Goal Description for each one is clear. If different cell types are allowed for different goals, make that clear as well. Etc.. Hope that helps.

I have 1 solution that will infect about half the strands and turn those strands entirely green.

I have 1 solution that kills all the strands with Devorocytes.

I only have solutions for the evil objective, I'm working in a solution for good objective

I can make all the strands green if I change one of the cell types in the strand. Does that count as meeting the Objective, or do all the cell have to remain the same (except for their color)?
