I'm currently on version 99(according to About tab) or 101 (according to Welcome pop up) and Playstore tells me there is a update available. When trying to install it I'm getting a 504 error and installation fails.
What should be the current version and how can this be solved? Is this the problem others had and I can only uninstall and reinstall?

The pop-up has to be updated by me, its text is downloaded on startup. Yes exactly, this is the issue others have had, though if version 99 works fine on your device there is really no need to update at the moment. Any larger update in the future will likely come with an updated sdk version so the play store should let you install it on top then.
